Recap: Eagles fall to Titans 26-23, must rebound next week

The Eagles lost to the Tennessee Titans 26-23, in a game which was filled with mistakes and missed opportunities for the Eagles.
It was 4th and 15 in overtime and the Eagles had the Titans back against the wall. The Titans converted and went on to win the game. That one play could summarize the whole game.
On a day where the offense clicked, the defense did not perform. The Eagles committed eight penalties on the day and on the last drive, the defense let up three fourth down conversions. The Eagles just weren’t as good as they have been before.
The cause for concern here is the team is sloppy, mistake ridden and just didn’t execute. And, this isn’t the first time the games been like that. All season, the Eagles haven’t been playing good football. The Eagles were up 17-3 today and found a way to lose the game. Here’s what Doug Pederson has to say about the loss today.
”This hurts,” Pederson said. ”This stings. Losses like this sting, and it’s something we use as fuel for our emotion moving forward.”
There’s no time to dwell on the loss anymore because the Eagles have the Minnesota Vikings coming to town. The Vikings have their own struggles but I’d be huge for the Eagles to win this one because a loss would derail this team.
