With McLeod off to a solid year for the Birds, losing McLeod is not what the Eagles needed at this point of the season. The Birds will probably go with Corey Graham for the time being, as they figure out their next steps. Moving forward, Deiondre’ Hall could be in for added reps and perhaps the Eagles could look to safety Tre Sullivan.
The Panthers just signed Eric Reid today, as he would have been a perfect fit on paper, although it’s been known that he and Malcolm Jenkins didn’t get along after his fall out with Jenkins player’s coalition. Perhaps the Birds start looking at other free agent safeties on the market sooner than later.
