With news breaking about Philadelphia Eagles safety Rodney McLeod’s season ending injury, what are the Eagles going to do?

While McLeod was playing at a very high level, the solution is simple. Safety Corey Graham will have to carry the load. Only three safeties played versus the Colts, two being McLeod and Graham and the other bring Malcolm Jenkins .
With Graham in, the Eagles like to utilize Jenkins in different ways. But with McLeod our, that might limit that strategy. However, the Eagles have a very promising safety in Deiondre Hall who might just be able to give the Eagles that option. The Eagles also have Tre Sullivan available on the practice squad and Chris Maragos who’s still on the PUP list.
Another sneaky move the Eagles could make is moving cornerback Rasul Douglas, but cornerback depth is important and he’s been great when he’s been in at cornerback.
What’s likely going to happen is, the Eagles will heavily rely on Corey Graham to carry the load. They are still going to move around Jenkins because he’s best when he’s moved around. They’re not just going to use those particular sub-packages as often as they have been able to. That’s their best bet, the Eagles should be just fine.
There’s no sugarcoating it, losing one of your best defensive players on your team. But, the Eagles have been through this before and they’ll make sure they aren’t affected by this unfortunate situation.
