Eagles Alshon Jeffrey finally cleared for contact

26 September 2018 Eagles News

On Wednesday, head coach Doug Pederson announced that Alshon Jeffrey has been cleared for contact.

“Alshon’s doing well, he’s cleared, and we’re excited to get him in the mix and see where he’s at,” Pederson told Philly.com. “We’ll make a final determination obviously later in the week.”

The Eagles’ offense is in dire needs of their No. 1 wideout, it’s actually the perfect time for his return if cleared for takeoff. Coach Pederson was kind of down playing Alshon’s status for Sunday and that an announcement would be made later this week, but we all know that Carson’s go-to-guy should be ready to suit up on Sunday.

With the addition of Alshon in the lineup, look for more space in the open field for the rest of the Eagles’ pass catchers. Now, Carson Wentz gets another valuable red-zone target back to go along his two tight ends in Zach Ertz and Dallas Goedert.
