Preview: Five players to watch today vs. Colts

23 September 2018 Uncategorized

Carson Wentz’s return to the field is imminent, it’s game day. The Philadelphia Eagles take on the Indianapolis Colts today. Going into the game, here’s five players to watch.

  1. Carson Wentz

There’s no preview article or player to watch article without mentioning Carson Wentz. Last season’s MVP before he went down is back and ready to sling the ball once again. His first throw is going to be electric, his walk from the tunnel is going to be electric and he’s going to make the Eagles offense electric once again. He’s one of the best players to watch in the league and it’s great having him back.

  1. Corey Clement

For the most part, Clement has the backfield to himself today. With Jay Ajayi and Darren Sproles out, its his opportunity to show he can lead the backfield by himself. He’s going to get a lot of carries and show his use in the passing game. The Eagles are relying on him to pick things up.

  1. Zach Ertz

Zach Ertz bounced back last week after a not so good performance week one. But, he still hasn’t found the end zone. Now, with Carson Wentz back, Ertz will immediately become one of the most dangerous offensive weapons once again. Look for Ertz to get into the end zone today.

  1. Jalen Mills

Jalen Mills took a lot of criticism this past week and now, the gunslinging Colts are in town. He needs to be on his A game today because TY Hilton is fixing to burn him if he’s not. Mills must bounce back from a poor week two performance versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

  1. Fletcher Cox

Fletcher Cox is on a mission to get some respect this season. He wants the defensive MVP award and through two games he’s a candidate for it. When he’s playing this well, the Eagles defense is a different beast. Watch out for him today.
