Philadelphia Eagles bring WR Kamar Aiken back to the nest

12 September 2018 Uncategorized

On Wednesday, the Philadelphia Eagles announced that they re-signed free agent wide receiver Kamar Aiken.

With the signing of Kamar Aiken the Eagles decided to release Markus Wheaton and add Aiken to the 53 man roster. The 29-year-old wideout previously signed with the Eagles during the off-season at the beginning of training camp but was released at the end of preseason. The veteran receiver did deal with a hamstring injury that he sustained during the second preseason game versus the New England Patriots.

The Eagles have 6 wideouts in the mix on the 53, with Alshon Jeffery still on the mend. But right now, here is what it looks like: Alshon Jeffery, Nelson Agholor, Mike Wallace, DeAndre Carter, Shelton Gibson, and Kamar Aiken rounding out the depth chart. Look for Aiken to battle with DeAndre Carter and Shelton Gibson for snaps moving forward.
