Braxton Miller to sign with Eagles practice squad

8 September 2018 Uncategorized

Per Alex Gleitman of 247Sports, former Texans WR Braxton Miller will join the Eagles practice squad, pending a physical.

With the Eagles moving on from WR Greg Ward and Rashard Davis that makes room for Braxton Miller on the practice squad. Perhaps the Birds see Miller as a possible option in the slot, with DeAndre Carter his only competition. With Alshon missing time, the Birds did use Agholor on the outside at times versus the Falcons on Thursday.

Miller had a quiet start in his two years with the Texans, as a rookie he hauled in 19 receptions for 162 yards and 1 TD, following up with 15 receptions for 99 yards and 1 score last season.

With the Texans drafting Keke Coutee and going with Bruce Ellington as their slot options, the writing was on the door for Miller. During his time with the Texans Miller has dealt with injuries, dealing with a shoulder AC joint sprain(missed 4 games), Ankle sprain, Hamstring (missed 2 games)and a concussion(missed 2 games), which all resulted in missed time.
