Recap: Eagles hold off Falcons on last play, win 18-12

7 September 2018 Uncategorized

Road to repeat has kicked off and the Eagles are officially 1-0 after defeating the Atlanta Falcons 18-12.

The offense didn’t have the best of games, but in the end, they did enough to get the job done. Running back Jay Ajayi scored the Eagles only two touchdowns completing his 62 rushing yards on the night.

The real star of this game was not just one person but 11 of them. The Eagles defense was fantastic. They held the Falcons to just three points on three red zone trips. Like the last time these two met, the Eagles stopped the Falcons on the goal-line  to win the game. Ronald Darby has nice coverage on Julio Jones who caught the ball out of bounds.

It was a sloppy game with a lot of penalties, but the Eagles dug deep and found a way to win the game. Establishing the run was key to their success. Going forward, they need more help from their offense which will happen as players return. But on the bright side, the defense looks in top form. 1-0 FlyEaglesFly!
