According to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo the Eagles have parted ways with fan favorite Josh Adams.
Waiting on Eagles official cuts but am told they waived rookie RB Josh Adams. Thought he’d be on their 53.

With the Eagles moving on from Donnel Pumphrey, there looked to be a possibility of Adams making the squad. The Eagles could have seen Wendell Smallwood as a better overall talent on the backend of the roster.
Something quick to note, the Panthers also parted ways with RB Kenjon Barner. Barner played a valuable role as a special teamer and change-of-pace back for the Birds last season. He could be a guy they could look at if they plan to bring someone in.
Josh Adams didn’t seem to give the Birds that much in terms of special teams help, but if he passes through waivers they could try to add him to the practice squad.
