Coach Pederson noted that both players are “doing great” and mentioned that “practices are hard if not harder than games.”
“Overall they’re doing great, right on track and both are healthy and doing a nice job. I don’t necessarily need to see these two guys who have played a ton of games. Since I’ve been here, Sproles hasn’t played in the preseason at all and Jason is usually limited through camp … I’m not in any hurry to see those two guys right away, Pederson told NJ.com.”
Both Jason Peters (36) and Darren Sproles (35) have been impressive in practice after their return from injury and most likely Doug Pederson doesn’t need to see anything more from his aging veterans. Moving forward, keeping both of them fresh and ready to go for the season is most imperative.
