Now top dog, Eagles start training camp ready to defend their crown

26 July 2018 Eagles News

There’s going to be an energetic buzz around the NovaCare Complex today as the Eagles officially begin their reign as Super Bowl Champions. Now the top dog, the Eagles must prove to the NFL they’re here to stay.

This camp is actually a lot more important than most think. After reaching the top in February, now the Eagles are working to stay on the top. What that means is, competition is going to be intense and there’s no room for slip ups. Every will be pushing each other to make sure the Eagles maintain success.

With that being said, we’re going to find out a lot about this team come the end of August. Are they ready to be the hunted?

Well first things first, the Eagles need to solve a few holes on their roster. Slot cornerback, WILL linebacker, wide receiver two, defensive tackle (while Jernigan’s out) as well as third safety. Expect to see a bunch of names being thrown around in those spots. A few players to look out for are safety Tre Sullivan, cornerback DeVante Bausby, linebacker Nate Gerry and wide receiver Mack Hollins. All four of those players might have big roles come September.

This camp is just beginning and the hype around this team couldn’t be greater. There’s an awesome energy around this team and in the city. The Eagles are now the hunted dog and are going to prove to the league they are worthy.
