Chris Mortensen on ESPN’s NFL Live “I am starting to believe Carson Wentz will be ready for the opener”

5 June 2018 Eagles News

When Carson Wentz puts his mind to something he usually accomplishes it. When he said he’ll be ready for the Eagles home opener, you best bet he is doing everything in his power to accomplish that goal. And right now, reports are indicating he’ll do just that.

On ESPN’s NFL Live, Chris Mortensen said he is “starting to believe Carson Wentz will be ready for the opener.”

So far during the Eagles OTA sessions, Wentz participated in the individual drills and was held out of the teams’ team session were the practice become live.  Right now, it is about keeping him safe. With training camp just around the corner, there’s no need to rush him back now.

As for training camp, Wentz might still be a limited participant, however, with this report, Wentz might be able to be a full go. Either way, the Eagles will still likely play it on the safer side.

With 93 days until the opener versus the Atlanta Falcons, the Eagles are in a good spot. Their quarterback is way ahead of schedule and they still have Nick Foles on the roster.
