Eagles sign undrafted linebacker Kyle Wilson

24 May 2018 Eagles News

With the Bird releasing Mychal Kendricks and now dealing with the loss of Paul Worrilow to a torn ACL, the Philadelphia Eagles signed undrafted free agent linebacker Kyle Wilson.

The 6-foot, 230-pound Arkansas State prospect will try to find a role on the backend of the linebacker depth chart, as he’ll provide depth for the time being.

At Arkansas State, Wilson racked up 173 tackles, including 26 1/2 for loss, one interception and a forced a fumble, helping the Red Wolves win 15 games, while making an appearance in two bowl games. Before his two year career at Arkansas State, he had a brief stop at Hutchinson Community College in Kansas.

“I feel like my game can translate pretty well to the NFL,” Wilson told the Wichita Eagle. “I can make plays at linebacker and on special teams. I have a good football IQ and called all the plays for my defense at Arkansas State. I just want to keep proving people wrong.”
