RB Josh Adams: “Foot Injury is not serious” and is day-to-day

11 May 2018 Eagles News

Eagles undrafted free agent RB Josh Adams talked about his foot injury(hairline fracture in his foot) and mentioned that his “foot injury is not serious,” according to ESPN’s John McMullen.

The former Notre Dame prospect was super productive in his junior season rushing for 1430 yards (6.9 YPC) with 9 touchdowns last year. So, how does a RB who was once on the Heisman watch suddenly go undrafted during the NFL Draft? Adams looked like he was at least guaranteed a day 3 selection, before going undrafted and then signing with the Eagles.

During the draft, NFL Network’s Mike Mayock mentioned something about a foot injury that Adams was dealing with that might need surgery. However, now that we’re hearing that the injury is not serious, it still leaves us to monitor the situation moving forward. The fact that he is day-to-day before any physical activity has even started should be enough concern, especially when his running style points to more of a power game than anything. To make the roster, Adams will have to be on the field to showcase his ability to have a horse in the race during training camp.
