The Eagles have little cap space and already have a stacked roster, but yet, they are still bringing on talent.
According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, the Eagles are signing former Redskins running back Matt Jones after he won a three running back workout yesterday.

Jones is a bigger back, who can bring a little bit of that LeGarrette Blount running style back to the Eagles. In three years in the league, Jones has rushed for 964 yards and six touchdowns. He had a lot of success in smaller roles with the Redskins, but most recently, he was buried on the Colts depth chart.
However, signing a running back right now does not mean he will be on the team after training camp. A lot of the time these players take on the challenge trying to show themselves to the rest of the league. The Eagles have a plethora of running backs, as well as a highly praised undrafted free agent Josh Adams.
For Jones, I’d say he is a long shot to be on the team come September, but that still makes him a player to watch this training camp.
