Eagles have exercised their fifth-year team option for Head Coach Doug Pederson, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.
When Pederson signed back in 2016, he signed a four-year deal with a fifth year option. The move was a no brainer for the Eagles front office, after Pederson did what no other Eagles coach has done for the city of Philadelphia: bring home a Super Bowl trophy.
Now, the Birds have there beloved Dougy P in house signed, sealed, and delivered till 2020. The third-year coach has a 20-12 record as the Birds head coach, a Lombardi Trophy on his resume, and undefeated record in the playoffs. Major hat tip, Doug Pederson.
