South Alabama DB Jeremy Reaves visits the Philadelphia Eagles

9 April 2018 DRAFT Eagles News

According to Rotowrold’s Josh Norris, South Alabama DB Jeremy Reaves will have an official team visit with the Philadelphia Eagles.

The South Alabama prospect recently checked in at 5-foot-10 3/4 and 202 pounds at his pro day, putting up 18 reps on the bench press, with a 31-inch vertical leap and a 9-foot-2 broad jump. Reaves clocked a 4.66 40-yard dash. The Eagles also made sure they were in attendance for his pro day.

Reaves showcased quite the versatility within the South Alabama secondary, playing safety and corner, but settling in as a playmaker at safety to finish his career. The Sun Belt conference player of the year was invited to the Reese’s Senior Bowl in January, as he lead the Jaguars with 104 tackles, seven tackles for loss, 3 interceptions and 3 forced fumbles.

THE SKINNY: As I’ve said in the past, the Eagles love versatile prospects in the secondary and Reaves is another overachiever on the field and off the field. The Jaguars field general and captain, logged 36 starts with 49 games played on his career resume. If the Eagles are looking to take shot on a safety on day 3, Reaves showcases great range on the backend with the ability to be effective against the run.
