Report: Eagles to Open Season Against Vikings In TNF Action

19 March 2018 Eagles News

Philadelphia media member Howard Eskin tweeted Monday morning that according to sources, the Eagles will open their season against the Vikings at home on Thursday, September 6th.

This game will serve as a rematch of the NFC Championship Game where Nick Foles and the Eagles went on to desecrate the Vikings 38-7. The Eagles went on to win Superbowl 52 against the Patriots two weeks later.

With the Vikings not having Case Keenum any longer, this is a chance for new Minnesota QB Kirk Cousins to show who he is with his new team. However, after the beating that Minnesota took from the Eagles back in January, Eagles fans are optimistic with their chances. The Vikings will also have to see the Eagles have their Superbowl 52 banner raised in a ceremony before the game.

It seems that Minnesota fans haven’t gotten over the blow out they received, taking to Twitter to share their feelings on the season opening match-up and Eagles fans:
