Eagles Sign DT Winston Craig To One-Year Contract

In September of 2017, DT Winston Craig was released on cutdown day by the Eagles. Philadelphia picked Craig up as an undrafted free agent in 2017 and played him throughout the preseason. Craig racked up four tackles during that time. The Eagles clearly liked what they saw in him, announcing the signing of a one-year contract for Craig in 2018.

In his senior season at the University of Richmond, Craig finished second in the Colonial Athletic Association. He had a big year with 7.5 sacks and three blocked field goals. He completed that season with 59 tackles, which 11.5 of those went for a loss.
In the upcoming season, Craig will fight for a roster spot against Destiny Vaeao and Elijah Qualls at backup defensive tackle. With the addition of the Craig, the Eagles now have 79 of the 90 on their roster.
