Carson Wentz has given the Eagles more than just an 11-2 record and MVP season, he has given them hope

11 December 2017 Eagles News

With the news hitting us all at the worst possible time, Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz’s season is finished after suffering a torn ACL versus the Los Angeles Rams. The magical season under Wentz’s helm is over, but Wentz means much more to the Eagles than his MVP season, he has given them so much more.

Wentz has given the Eagles a new lifeline, hope for a championship. In just his second year he has torched the rest of the league, while also becoming a captain and leader of the Eagles. Wentz has a character you cannot teach and is one of the toughest and competitive players you can get.

Wentz has amazed the Eagles and the Eagles fans with everything he has done on and off the field. With him, the Eagles are always in a position to win and under his reign, there has not been a more closely knit and tightly bonded team in Philadelphia. The Eagles all bought into Wentz and trusted him and it showed on the field.

It takes a special player to take a group of men and have the follow your lead. It is the things he does, he sets by example, showing up at 5 am before practice, stating after practice, diving for that extra yard, making the clutch plays. Off the field, donating his time, making a foundation. The guy is a class act and has completely taken over the city of Philadelphia.

As the season ends for Wentz, the hopes and ideas of him taking this franchise to new heights are still there. All we can do is wish him a speedy recovery and hope he comes back next year even better. Fly Eagles Fly, AO1!
