Have no fear, Zach Ertz is here, he will play Sunday vs. Rams

7 December 2017 Eagles News

After leaving last Sunday’s game with a head injury, Eagles tight end Zach Ertz was put in the league’s concussion protocol. With his availability for this Sunday’s game in danger, today, we found out he has cleared protocol and will play.

This is good news heading into this Sunday’s game which is a clash of two of the NFC’s best. Ertz is Carson Wentz’s security blanket and go-to receiver. You saw what happened when Ertz left the game, Wentz was not the same.

As for this Sunday, the Rams have done well against tight ends, allowing just 46 receptions for 501 yards and four touchdowns to tight ends all season. But, with that being said, every time they have gone against a tight end of Ertz’s caliber, Jimmy Graham, Evan Engram, the Rams have struggled.

Either way, having Ertz on the field is a big boost for the Eagles heading into this week’s game.
