Eagles CB Jalen Mills wins NFC defensive player of the week

Jalen Mills has come a long way for a seventh-round pick.
This past week, Mills had three total tackles, one tackle for a loss and one interception returned for a touchdown. Mills has been one of the best cornerbacks this season, solidifying himself as one of the most consistent cornerbacks in the league.

Mills is not a perfect cornerback, in no way is he a lock-down cornerback. However, what Mills does best is he does not allow yards after the catch. Mills had really excelled in year two for the Eagles. Coming into the season, no one really knew how good Mills and the secondary would be, however, it is safe to say they have exceeded expectations.
