4thandJawn game predictions: Eagles vs. Cardinals

8 October 2017 Eagles News Opinion

The battle of the birds hits Lincoln Financial field today when the Eagles take on the Arizona Cardinals in an NFC clash. The Eagles are looking to keep control of their division, the NFC East, while the Cardinals are looking to stay relevant in theirs. Make no mistake, this game is a big one. The Eagles do not want to drop an early home game against a team who is as banged up as the Cardinals.

The Cardinals are without David Johnson, the left side of their offensive line and down a few pass rushers. When a team in that state comes to the Linc, I expect the Eagles to bury them. Even though the Eagles are without Wendell Smallwood, Fletcher Cox and a few others, any team that comes to Philly without their star running back and a stable offensive line are going to have a bad day. For the first time in a while, I am calling for a rout by the Philadelphia Eagles, the Eagles are going to win this game 38 – 13.

Brett Pietrzak (@BPietrzak01) 28 – 17 Eagles

Lee Nelson (@Nelson81) 30-17 Eagles, Defense is going to win this game

ERock (@TheMightyEROCK ) 31-21 Eagles

David Malandra (@David_Malandra) 27-21 Eagles

Jacob Fulkerson (@theJFulkerson) 28 – 21 Eagles, Carson Palmer is the most hit QB in the league, and it won’t change on Sunday.

Brendan Walker (@BWalkerNFL) 28-20 Eagles

Ryan Neal (@Rwilliamneal) 38-13 Eagles

Gayle Saunders (@eagleSessions) 27-17 Eagles, Eagles go old school again and rely on the defense and a solid running game to bring another W to the nest.

Mal Davis (@WriteWhatuLove) 21-17 Eagles,

Kelly Carpenter (@football_Kelly) 27-20 Eagles, I came to my prediction believing that Cardinals have struggled on offense. They lost their identity when David Johnson got injured. Eagles will shut down their current run game and hit Palmer early to reduce the impact of the receiving game. Cards will have fast, big plays on a minimal basis. I say Rasul Douglas gets his second interception vs Palmer and he is sacked at least 4 times. Eagles offense will take early deep threat attempts to Smith down the field opening up the running game for Blount/Clement more in the absence of Smallwood.

The squad is confident the Eagles defense will shine today versus the Cardinals. The Eagles are going to defend the Linc, it is a clean sweep by our staff, we all think the Eagles will win. Fly Eagles Fly!
