Eagles injury report: Fletcher Cox to miss second consecutive game

6 October 2017 Eagles News

Going into this Sunday’s clash of the two birds, the Eagles are a little banged up.

For a second straight week, the Eagles will be without defensive lineman Fletcher Cox. Last week, Beau Allen filled in pretty well, but it is still going to be a tall task for Allen. Cox’s impact on this team is immense, whenever he is on the field he draws a lot of attention.

However, with a short week coming up, it would make sense for the Eagles to sit Cox again this Sunday and hope he can go this coming Thursday against the Panthers.

With the new injury report system, there is no probable, questionable can really mean anything. However, having yet again, both back up safeties (Watkins and Graham) on there is a concern. Having just one of those players back would be a big boost for the Eagles defense and secondary.

Another name to watch on the injury report is running back Wendell Smallwood. Smallwood is coming off a great showing versus the Los Angeles Chargers. If he cannot go, it would be the story of his career so far in Philadelphia. Smallwood needs to play Sunday, his presence in the backfield gives the Eagles a much needed dynamic.

There is your injury report, as Sunday comes make sure to keep an eye on the report to see how it changes.
