Alshon Jeffery should be a go for Thursday night vs Bills

15 August 2017 Eagles News

Last week, Eagles fans were hoping to get a glimpse of their new shiny toy in Alshon Jeffery, but unfortunately, the Eagles held him out versus the Green Bay Packers.

Fast forward to Thursday and Alshon could be ready for take off versus the Buffalo Bills as the talented wide receiver “would like to” give it a go.

“We’ll see. I mean talk to Coach Doug (Pederson) and the trainers,” Jeffery said. “I would like to, but at the same time we’ll see.”

At the moment, Coach Pederson is doing his best to keep his prized possession 100 percent healthy. Jeffery was dealing with a shoulder strain in the beginning of training camp, but for the last couple of weeks, they have chosen to take it slow. In order for Carson Wentz and Alshon Jeffery to continue developing as a potential dynamic duo, both players will need to get in some game time action sooner versus later.

“I just want to make sure he’s healthy,” Pederson told the team’s website. “We’re not playing for a while. Just want to give him plenty of rest. He’s getting a lot of work with Carson in 7-on-7s and individual work, getting everything he needs to get done leading up to the season.”

If I were a betting man, I’d have to believe the Eagles will roll out out Alshon Jeffery in front of their home crowd for a couple of drives on Thursday night.
