Ryan Mathews set to meet with Doctors in Philly

14 August 2017 Eagles News

According to Philly.com’s Les Bowen, RB Ryan Mathews time as a Philadelphia Eagle could be coming to an end.

Ryan Mathews was set to have scans on Monday and plan to meet with Doctors on Tuesday to find out if he has healed from his neck surgery. If Mathews passes his test, the Eagles will release him. However, if the neck is not healed it could delay his release, according to Philadelphia Inquirer’s Jeff McLane.

With Mathews upcoming release, the Birds will be on the hook for $1.15 million dollars according to his injury protection clause, allowing the Birds to instantly gain $4 million dollars in savings with his release.
