Halapoulivaati Vatai escapes serious knee injury

11 August 2017 Eagles News

During the Eagles preseason opener Big V went down with–what looked to be–a “serious” injury to his knee as rookie RB Corey Clement ran into the back of his legs.

Good news for Vatai, as the knee injury does not seem to be serious, according to Philadelphia Daily News’ Les Bowen.

Last season, Vaitai suffered a grade 2 MCL Spain after his knee got rolled up on versus the Seattle Seahawks in late November.

At the moment it’s unknown how long Vatai will exactly be out, but losing a quality depth player like Big V would be bad for the Eagles offensive line depth. OT/DE Taylor Hart is currently the third string right tackle behind Big V.
