Alshon Jeffery: Eagles “told me to chill, so I chilled”
7 August 2017 Eagles News
ESPN’s Josina Anderson noted that WR Alshon Jeffery mentioned that he feels “great” and that the Eagles told him “to chill” so they could “evaluate other players.”
#Eagles WR Alshon Jeffery (shoulder) to me: “Feel great. They told me to chill, so I chilled. Told me they wanted me to evaluate other guys”

While Alshon has been dealing with a shoulder strain, it’s obvious that Alshon is ok to go if this was a game time situation. Amongst the back end of the receiving group, there are a couple of guys fighting for a roster spot, perhaps finding out what the depth guys are made of better serves this offense.
Guys like Marcus Johnson, Mack Hollins, Sheldon Gibson and Greg Ward Jr are all trying to make this 53-man roster. From the looks of it, the Eagles look like they might have 6 wideouts on the roster since they have a couple guys with diverse skill-sets that contribute on special teams.
My current 6 Eagles wideouts for the roster:
Alshon Jeffery
Torrey Smith
Jordan Matthews
Nelson Agholor
Mack Hollins
Marcus Johnson
As long as Alshon Jeffery is healthy for the season, I’m all for getting that shoulder strain under control and continuing to chill during pre season games.
