Report: Mychal Kendricks asked the Eagles to trade or release him this offseason
28 July 2017 Eagles News
After speaking to reporters after today’s practice, Eagles linebacker Mychal Kendricks revealed that he did in fact asked to be traded or released by the Eagles this past offseason.
Mychal Kendricks said he asked for a trade this offseason. There was no trade, obviously. He doesn't think the door is closed on one.

A trade could still happen, a move that would free up around $2 million in cap space. However, apparently, when Kendricks asked for the trade, the Eagles responded with, ” You’re young, you’re talented and we’re not into that.” (Via Tim McManus)
Since switching to a 4-3 defense, Kendricks has not really been a good fit for the team. But, in year two, it seems like the Eagles are hoping the young and talented linebacker will better adjust.
If the Eagles were to make a trade, it is unknown what they would get in return. Kendricks does have value and teams looking for a linebacker might be interested.
