The veteran offensive lineman was a solid for the Birds over the last four years, notching 29 starts on his resume. The 33-year-old guard was competing with Isaac Seumalo for the starting left guard spot, however, the Eagles named Seumalo their starter for the opening of camp.
With Barbre getting up there in age and with a $2.1 million dollar cap hit for his services, perhaps the Eagles believe Chance Warmack and Stefen Wisniewski will fill in fine as their depth players at guard and center.
This move definitely reinforces the Eagles feelings on second-year player Isaac Seumalo’s development.
