Eagles cut DGB

30 June 2017 Eagles News

The Eagles have released Dorial Green-Beckham to make room for a quarterback.

Green-Beckham was acquired last season via a trade with the Tennessee Titans. When the Eagles made the trade, everyone thought it was a steal, now, it does not look like that anymore.

A player who is physically gifted Green-Beckham was never able to use his gift for the good of the team.

Last season, Green-Beckham caught just 36 passes for 392 yards and two touchdowns.

Green-Beckham has the size, athleticism and the skill, but at heart, he will always be the lazy wide receiver that the Titans let go of.

Eagles new wide receiver coach Mike Groh wants guys he knows he can coach and guys he knows are willing to work. Obviously, Groh did not see that in Green-Beckham because he was cut before training camp, Green-Beckham did not get the chance to fight for his spot.

You would hope Green-Beckham can figure it out and use his talent. It is a sad story when such a talented player cannot hold a roster spot for more than a year.
