Eagles DE Brandon Graham think the Eagles should go “either CB or RB” in round one

12 April 2017 DRAFT Eagles News

On 94WIP’s Carlin and Reese show, Eagles defensive end Brandon Graham gave his opinion into who he thinks the Eagles should draft with their first pick, saying he thinks they should go with “either a CB or RB.”

I mean, it is hard to argue against that. The Eagles weakest position is the cornerback position, they definitely need to add a corner with one of their first two picks. However, in my personal opinion, I think they can wait until the second and even third round.

Every team does better with a run game. The Eagles can address that this year by taking either Dalvin Cook or Christian McCaffrey in the first round. Although they do have a couple on the roster right now, they still need to find a franchise running back. By drafting one in the first round, they will secure the position for years to come.

Also, during his interview, Graham went even deeper, saying he thinks the Eagles add two cornerbacks in the draft.

It looks like the players know how weak the teams’ cornerback situation is. If the Eagles draft a Marlon Humphrey/Gareon Conley in round one or two and add a player like Akhello Witherspoon later on, look out NFL. Adding those two players with Jalen Mills gives the Eagles one of the best young cornerback corps in the NFL.

Take his quotes with a grain of salt, after all, this is just his opinion. However, I would expect Graham to have good insight into the teams’ draft process.
