The 27-year-old McGloin has spent the last four years with the Oakland Raiders, but has only 7 starts in his time with the organization. The former undrafted Penn State QB had 6 starts during his rookie season, but has only logged 1 start since. For UDFA, McGloin has done a solid job carving out a career for himself, but will get a shot at competing for a reserve spot for the 2017 season.
With the signing of McGloin, look for Wentz and Foles as your No.1 and No. 2 quarterbacks, with McGloin as another arm to compete through training camp. The Eagles have also had Pitt QB Nathan Peterman–a mid-round prospect–in for a workout. Peterman raised his stock with a solid week at the Senior Bowl among evaluators. Look for the Birds to have an eye on a quarterback on day three of the draft.
