29 March 2017 Eagles News
On 104.3 The FAN in Denver, Co-Host Tyler Polumbus talked about the Eagles interest in Stanford RB Christian McCaffrey
Here is what he said.
.@Tyler_Polumbus "From someone close to the situation, the four teams most interested in C.McCaffrey are #Eagles, #49ers, #Colts & #Broncos"

Polumbus is a retired NFL player and a SuperBowl 50 champion. I would say he has a pretty good knowledge and inside information.
As for McCaffrey, he does fit what the Eagles are looking for in a running back. With a meeting with the media today, here is what Doug Pederson said regarding the position.
What Pederson values at RB: Three down guy, mobile out of the backfield, route running ability, running the ball, run btwn tackles.

McCaffrey is a dynamic player. During this draft process we have not only seen McCaffrey kill it on his running back drills, but also receiving drills. He is a very polished athlete and brings a lot to the table.
Running Back is a need for the Eagles. Besides Wendell Smallwood, the Eagles do not have any long term backs on the roster. Ryan Mathews is rumored to be cut, Darren Sproles is playing his last season and the rest just are not up to scratch. Even though this running back draft class is stacked, there’s not another running back like McCaffrey in the class.
As the NFL draft approaches, this is something to follow. We do not know what direction the Eagles are going to go in.
