Report: Eagles want at least a 5th round pick for Mychal Kendricks

9 March 2017 Eagles News

A little more than a year ago, Mychal Kendricks was given a big contract. Fast forward to now, and Kendricks is the Eagles’ odd man out. The Eagles have been trying to trade Kendricks for quite some time and now, time is running out.

On Friday at 4 p.m, $4.35 million of Kendricks 2017 salary will become fully guaranteed. Many people believe the Eagles will end up releasing Kendricks, but rumors are flying around about a potential trade.

The Eagles are asking for a 5th round pick in return for Kendricks. However, teams view that price tag as too much, considering the Eagles are rumored to release him.

Either way, the Eagles will save $1.8 million in cap when and if Kendricks is moved. It seems unlikely that a trade will occur, but the Eagles at this time are still trying.
