Report: Eagles sign WR Torrey Smith

9 March 2017 Eagles News

The Eagles have captured their first wide receiver this off-season. Torrey smith is an Eagle.

First reported by Ian Rapoport of NFL.com, the Eagles signed Smith to a 3-year deal worth $15 million. An average of $5 million a season is pretty good, considering the crazy market.

At the trade deadline, the Eagles were rumored to be interested in acquiring Smith. Rather than giving up a pick, the Eagles now got him without giving anything up.

Smith has a connection with Eagles VP of Player Personnel Joe Douglas and AD of Player Personnel Andy Weidl. Both of them had a huge influence in drafting Smith with the Ravens.

Smith comes into this team and straight away gives them a deep threat. He is coming off of a pretty disappointing year, but now he is in an offense that fits him. The sky is the limit here, the Eagles could have a steal.
