Eagles mock draft roundup: Eagles trade their first round pick for Brandin Cooks
7 March 2017 DRAFT Eagles News
NFL.com’s Charley Casserly thinks the Eagles will make the move and acquire Saints wide receiver Brandin Cooks for their first round pick. His mock draft does not explain the move, so let’s assume it is just the Eagles first round pick for Cooks straight up.
With the draft being in Philadelphia, it would be anticlimactic watching the first round of the draft in the city we love. However, Cooks is a very talented player. There is no doubt the Eagles are interested in him, but will they pull the trigger?
In other news, Bleacher Report’s Matt Miller released a new seven round mock draft today. He has the Eagles taking wide receiver Mike Williams with their first pick. Williams seems to be a popular pick, in the last month, both Charley Casserly and Mel Kiper have also projected the Eagles to land him.
Miller also has the Eagles drafting Alabama CB Marlon Humphrey, Florida state T Roderick Johnson, LSU LB Kendall Beckwith, Pittsburgh RB James Conner, SDSU CB Damontae Kazee, Louisville DL DeAngelo Brown and USF WR Rodney Adams.
