Report: Eagles believed to be open to dealing WR Jordan Matthews and QB Chase Daniel at right price

5 March 2017 Eagles News

Let the games begin. Per a report by Charles Robinson of Yahoo.com, the Eagles are believed to be open to dealing wide receiver Jordan Matthews and quarterback Chase Daniel at the right price.

For starters, Daniel is due a lot of money. He has a cap hit of $8 million. For a backup, that is not really ideal money. Trading him would save the Eagles $1 million. However, having Daniel on the team does have its benefits. He is seen as an ideal mentor to Carson Wentz.

Jordan Matthews is a ideal slot wide receiver, but was used a lot on the outside for the Eagles.. Although he was the team’s best receiver, he did have some flaws. Jordan Matthews is set to be a free agent after this season. If they want to move on, now might be an ideal time.

This story is developing, stay tuned.
