Report: Eagles are working on a contract extension for Beau Allen

According to a report by Jeff McLane of the Inquier, the Eagles are working on a contract extension for defensive tackle Beau Allen.
In his press conference yesterday, Eagles GM Howie Roseman seemed pretty excited about Allen and his future, stating “We’re excited about Beau. Both in his ability to be powerful in the run game and also his athleticism to work the edges. He has pass rush moves and with an increased opportunity, we think he will be an even better player for our team.”
Allen played a signicant role for the Eagles this past season. He filled in for Bennie Logan while he was out injured. In his time, Allen set a career high in tackles with 29.
Ideally, if the money was right, Logan would be back on this team.However, for a much cheaper cost, Allen is just fine.
