Report: Eagles likely to trade Mychal Kendricks

12 February 2017 Eagles News

According to Jimmy Kempski of PhillyVoice.com, the Eagles are likely to trade linebacker Mychal Kendricks.

Kendricks was due to make around $6 million this season. By cutting him, the Eagles will save around $1.8 million in cap and dump his contract on some other team.

As to his value, this is what Kempski said in his article.

“The Eagles would not be able to trade Kendricks until the start of the new league year, which will begin at 4:00 p.m. on March 9. No specific indication was given from the source as to what Kendricks could fetch in a trade, but it is our opinion that his value would be a mid- to late-round draft pick.”

As you can see, this move would be more of just cutting the dead weight and freeing up cap. In my opinion, the Eagles have something big up their sleeve and are trying to free up as much money as possible.
