Report: Eagles to go WR shopping, expected to pursue Alshon Jeffery

10 February 2017 Eagles News

As we all know, the Eagles do not have good wide receivers. Hopefully in a month or two, that all changes.

In an article by Jason La Canfora of CBSSports.com talking about the Eagles signing Desean Jackson, he mentions the possibility of the Eagles signing Alshon Jeffery.

“Several league sources anticipate the Eagles being in on Alshon Jeffery (Bears) and Philadelphia was aggressive in exploring trade options in-season on other receivers as well, like Torrey Smith (San Francisco), and they need to add more than one pass catcher this offseason.”

Basically, the Eagles are going to be heavily involved in the wide receiver free agency market. Not only are names like Jeffery, Jackson, and Smith linked to the Eagles. Dolphins receiver Kenny Stills and Redskins receiver Pierce Garçon have been linked to the Eagles as well.

Look for the Eagles to sign Alshon Jeffery and maybe trade for Torrey Smith. Who knows what will really happen? At least we can all agree, thank god the Eagles are addressing the position.
