Eagles set to hire Mike Groh as WR coach

21 January 2017 Eagles News

The Eagles have decided on a new wide receiver coach. Per a report by Adam Caplan of ESPN, the Eagles are expected to hire Mike Groh.

Groh has had coaching stints with the New York Jets, Chicago Bears, and most recently the Los Angelas Rams. Yes, that means he has worked with Alshon Jeffery, Brandon Marshall, and Kenny Britt. He was also the passing game coordinator with the Rams.

Groh had a lot of success with the Rams. There, Groh helped wide receiver Kenny Britt reach the 1,000 yard mark for the first time in his career.

With the Eagles receiving corp in the state that it is, you can expect some change. The Eagles are going to bring in new faces for Groh to work with. They will also hope he helps the struggling Nelson Agholor and the other young players on the roster.

Groh is an experienced receiver coach who can develop receivers. Whether young or old (Kenny Britt), Groh can have success developing and getting production out of his receivers. Although nothing is official yet, Groh is a great hire.
