Injury woes continue for the Eagles

12 December 2016 Eagles News

The injury problems continue for the Eagles. After a hard fought battle versus the Washington Redskins, the Eagles have a few battle scars to show. Numerous Eagles left the game injured.

Here is the news regarding the injuries

Darren Sproles left the game after a blow to the head. Sproles suffered a concussion and is in the league’s concussion protocol.

Wendell Smallwood suffered an MCL sprain during the game. Head Coach Doug Pederson compared it to the same injury suffered by Halapoulivaati Vaitai this season. Meaning , with just three weeks left, it is unlikely he will play again this season.

Same goes for offensive line Matt Tobin. He also suffered a knee injury in the game. Maybe that was why Ryan Kerrigan beat him so easily.

Eagles long snapper Jon Dorenbos is out for the year as well. He suffered a wrist injury and already had surgery on it last night, This leaves the long snapper position in question. Will the Eagles continue to use Trey Burton? We might see rookie John DePalma again.

As for Brent Celek (stinger) and Allen Barbre (hamstring), they will not practice but they are expected to play versus the Ravens.
