What it means: Eagles injury report

9 December 2016 Eagles News

Going into the Sunday clash versus the Redskins, the Eagles are actually pretty healthy. Compared to the Redskins, they are in great shape.

Here is the report.

Green-Beckham, Dorial WR Abdomen DNP DNP DNP Questionable
Mathews, Ryan RB Knee FP FP FP Questionable
Matthews, Jordan WR Ankle LP FP FP Questionable
Vaitai, Halapoulivaati T Knee DNP DNP DNP Out

What it means:

Obviously, Vaitai is already ruled out. This means that the Eagles usual left guard, Allen Barbre, will be playing the right tackle position. Filling in for him at left guard will be Stefan Wisniewski.

Jordan Matthews said today he is playing. That is a huge boost to a struggling wide receiver corps. He is without a doubt the Eagles best receiver and Wentz’s favorite option.

Also, Ryan Mathews is expected to play. He has been practicing since Wednesday. He is this team’s best running back. It is always a boost when your starting running back is back and healthy. Having him will be huge for the Eagles.

Lastly, Dorial Green-Beckham has been sidelined. I doubt he plays this Sunday. In my opinion, it will not hurt the Eagles. It just means we will see more of the emerging Paul Turner who caught every pass thrown his way last Sunday.
