Buying or Selling: The Eagles have a sack party this Sunday

9 December 2016 Eagles News

The Eagles are currently on a three-game losing streak. During this losing streak, we have seen some of the worst football the Eagles have played in a while, especially from the defensive line. However, Sunday versus a depleted Washington Redskins offensive line, the Eagles defensive line will rebind and have a sack party.

I am buying this narrative and here is why you should too.

Firstly, the Redskins are coming into this game with a very banged up offensive line. Trent Williams, one of the best tackles in football will be back. However, coming into this game, the Redskins will possibly have three starting offensive linemen missing. Spencer Long, the starting center is out with a concussion. Brandon Scherff (RG) and Shawn Lauvao (LG)  are both questionable as well.

Hungry to prove the Eagles fans and media wrong, I expect the Eagles defensive line to be very hungry come Sunday. We are looking at players like; Fletcher Cox, Brandon Graham, Bennie Logan, Connor Barwin, and Vinny Curry. You are telling me these players cannot get to the quarterback.

The last matchup versus the Redskins was not the best for the Eagles defensive line. They struggled away from home. At home, this team is a different animal. They are averaging three sacks a game. With a banged up Redskins offensive line, I think they will get a lot of pressure.

Also, Eagles defensive coordinator has been under fire lately about his lack of blitzes. I think he will dial it up a lot in this game. The Eagles are going to go out with a bang.

Knowing the Redskins will have a banged up offensive line, are you buying or selling? Will the Eagles have a sack party?
