Carson Wentz will have a field day versus the Packers

28 November 2016 Eagles News

The Eagles come back to Lincoln Financial tonight to take on the Green Bay Packers. Carson Wentz has not had to deal with the terrible taste of defeat at home yet. The Eagles are currently 4-0 at home and are facing a struggling Packers team. After being picked apart by Marcus Mariota and Kirk Cousins, this Packers secondary is at an all time low. Wentz will do the same to them today, he will have his best game yet.

Firstly, in the two previous games, Mariota and Cousins totaled 670 passing yards and seven passing touchdowns. They also were able to guide their offense into scoring upwards of 40 points. This Packers defense cannot stop opposing quarterbacks right now.

Also, when targeting the Packers cornerbacks who have played more than 200 snaps, opposing quarterbacks have an average QBR of 136.3. Last week, Cousins was able to have a perfect QBR (158.3) when targeting the cornerbacks who are going to start versus the Eagles.

At home, Wentz has played his best football this season for the Eagles. On average, Wentz totals 237 yards a game and scores 1.25 touchdowns a game. Wentz does not turn the ball over too much at home either. In only one of the four games, Wentz threw an interception.

Wentz is going to have a lot of things in his favor tonight when he plays the Packers. We all know his receivers are struggling. Against this Packers defense, they will be able to make some plays. The emergence of Paul Turner might be a fun thing to watch tonight, he will be very eager to go make a play.

However, I think Wentz will find his most success throwing to Zach Ertz. Ertz has been on a mission lately. He will not slow down tonight, he is another player in for a big game.

All in all, Wentz will have a field day versus this terrible Packers secondary. Let’s just hope the defense can stop Aaron Rodgers too. Here is to hoping the Eagles and Wentz keep the home winning streak alive, 5-0.
