Eagles fantasy football: Start em’, Sit em’

20 November 2016 Eagles News Fantasy Football

It is going to be a defensive matchup versus Seattle. With that being said, they are not too many Eagles that you should start this week.

Here is this week’s Eagles fantasy start em’, sit em’.

Start em’

WR: Jordan Matthews – Last week, Matthews had a nice outing versus the Falcons, racking up 73 yards on 6 receptions. He was targeted ten times as well. This is a nice streak for Matthews. He is a target machine and has been doing very well. Again, this week he is a borderline WR2 and a must-start WR3. He will have a lot of targets and a good amount of receptions.

Prediction:  7 receptions for 85 yards and one touchdown

K: Caleb Sturgis: I expect this game to be a defensive battle. With that being said, I can see the Eagles getting a lot of field goals today. Sturgis is a good kicker play.

Prediction: Three Field Goal, One Extra Points

DST: Eagles: The Seahawks offense is not going to score a lot versus the Eagles. Also, the Seahawks have a very viable offensive line. Expect a lot of sacks and pressure on Wilson. Wilson might make some very bad mistakes today. The Eagles defense is one of the best in the league going against a mediocre offense. They are a solid play today.

Sit em’

QB: Carson Wentz – This is not to say Wentz will not have a good game, just fantasy wise he might struggle. Not only is he facing arguably one of the best defenses, but he is also playing in a very hostile environment. Wentz can still have a good game, but if you are expecting 25-30 points from your quarterback, I advise looking elsewhere.

Prediction: 27/36 for 281 yards and one touchdown and one interception

RB: Ryan Mathews and Darren Sproles – The Seahawks run defense allows just 77.7 yards against a game. For any team, it is going to be hard to run against the Seahawks. The matchup is just not in their favor today. However, Sproles might be useful are a receiver, he can be a sneaky play.

Prediction: Mathews- 15 carries for 42 yards, Sproles- 5 carries for 32 yards and 6 receptions for 75 yards

WR: All except JMatt – Taking JMatt out of the equation, this group only caught two passes for seven yards last week. It is clear the Eagles are doing away from this very inconsistent group. At this point in the season, I do not think any Eagles receiver, besides JMatt, would be on your roster anyway.

TE: Zach Ertz – Ertz has been doing a lot better the past couple of weeks. But, he comes into this game a little banged up. Also, he will have a tough matchup. K.J Wright, Bobby Wagner, and even Kam Chancellor will get a shot to cover Ertz. He will have to work very hard to have a productive fantasy day.

Prediction: 4 receptions for 50 yards.
