How the Eagles will beat the Cowboys
30 October 2016 Eagles News
Tonight is the night. Carson Wentz versus Dak Prescott under the light in Jerry World. However, I believe the game will not come down to those two. The Eagles must win in the trenches. That is how they will win this game.
The Eagles come into this game tonight without arguably their best run stopper Bennie Logan. We all know Dallas has one of the best offensive lines in football. Letting their offensive line lead the way, Dallas has been able to consistently dominate other teams by running the football.
With that being said, the Eagles currently have a top ten run defense. However, they have not faced an offensive line like the Cowboys and a running back like Ezekiel Elliot.
The Eagles’ defensive line needs to be up for it tonight. The defensive ends need to set the edge. What is setting the edge? The defensive end sets the edge and does not allow the running back to cut outside. It forces the running back to run up the middle and not get outside.
A big key to this game is the defensive ends. Connor Barwin, Brandon Graham, Vinny Curry, and even Marcus Smith all need to have a big game tonight.
As regard to the offensive line. Of course, you want your offensive line to dominate the opposing defensive line. The Eagles need to give Carson Wentz time. The Eagles need to establish the run as well. A balanced attack is the best kind of attack.
The Eagles need to win the battle in the trenches. If they do, they will win this game. Whoever is willing to give that extra effort will win this game. The Eagles seem to be high on confidence after their win over Minnesota. Let’s hope that they go into Dallas and dominate the line. If they do they will win this game.
