Is Bryce Treggs the Birds new deep threat?

21 October 2016 Eagles News

On Thursday, WR Bryce Treggs, noted that the Eagles are giving him more first-team reps.

“I feel like they’re comfortable with me now, where they don’t have to tell me what to do,” Treggs said. “I know the plays and I know where to be.”

The 6-foot, 185-pound WR Bryce Treggs, had a solid camp for the 49ers as an undrafted free agent, before suffering a sprained MCL. San Francisco planned on signing him to their practice squad, however, the Eagles prevented that from happening.

In his time with Cal, Treggs hauled in 195 receptions(3rd ranked) for 2,506 yards (4th ranked) and 15 TDs with an impressive 21.2 yards-per-catch as on of Jared Goff’s favorite targets. The Eagles scooped up the wideout in hopes that he could be a potential “burner” on the field that the Birds have been desperately looking for. During the pre-draft process, Treggs, posted a 4.39 forty at his pro day and showcased the ability to return kicks and punts.

With the way the Eagles wideouts have struggled to get separation on deeper routes, it could be just a matter of time before he gets an opportunity to showcase his skill-set.
