Instant reaction: Eagles blow out the Cowboys in Jerry World, improve to 9-1

20 November 2017 Eagles News

What a time to be alive, the Eagles dominated the Dallas Cowboys, improving to 9-1 on the season. After a slow start, as our friend the straw hat guy would say, the game ended up being “too fuggin easy.” The Eagles scored 30 points unanswered to win the game 37-9.

To say the first half was a mess is an understatement. Although the defense played well, forcing two first-half turnovers, the offense could not capitalize. The tide shifted in the second half when the Eagles ground game came alive and quarterback Carson Wentz started making plays.

The Eagles defense really won them the game. They turned a good Cowboys offense and conservative quarterback Dak Prescott into a turnover machine. Prescott threw three interceptions and fumbled once. Derek Barnett forced the fumble, adding that to his final stat sheet which saw him get two sacks on the day.

It is a testament to this team that they were able to believe in themselves and completely abandon that first half performance, and dominate the second half.  At the end of the day, the Eagles dominated in all three phases of the game, handing in a complete performance.

The Eagles will look to improve to 10-1 next week when the Chicago Bears come to town. Fly Eagles Fly!
